NICK FOLK’S 32-yard field goal with time up ensured the New York Jets finally began to live up to their own billing as potential Super Bowl winners.

The Jets’ thrilling win at the Indianapolis Colts avenged last year’s AFC Championship defeat while also ensuring both of last year’s Super Bowl finalists exited the NFL play-offs at the first hurdle.

Prior to that Jets victory, the New Orleans Saints were the surprise losers at the Seattle Seahawks, who had notoriously qualified for the post-season with a losing record (7-9).
