Morning inspections for Shelbourne and Kilkenny

DESPITE the severe weather, last night’s meeting at Tralee got the go-ahead, while trials were also staged at Limerick.

However, the remainder of the country is in an icy grip, though Shelbourne and Kilkenny will race tonight pending morning inspections.

Last night’s Harold’s Cross meeting was called off early in the morning due to the obvious travel difficulties facing owners, trainers and racegoers alike. They plan to run the postponed Monday and Tuesday cards on the corresponding nights next week.
