Westbrooks completes family four-timer

ERIC WESTBROOKS entered the family’s ‘hall of fame’ as he lifted the All Ireland U19A Basketball League trophy with co-captain Darragh McNeil at the National Basketball Arena yesterday.
Westbrooks was the only one of the four Westbrooks brothers not to have collected a national winners medal, but he rectified that situation with a terrific display for the Sutton school.

CALASANCTIUS COLLEGE, Oranmore were crowned All Ireland Schools U16A Girls League champions after a clear-cut win over Mercy Heights, Skibbereen.
The start of a marvellous day for the westerners was inspired by the MVP display of Ailish O’Reilly, who scored a magnificent 38 points.

CALASANCTIUS COLLEGE Oranmore continued a memorable day for the school with an easy win over St Aidans, Cork to claim the U16 A Boys League crown.
Enda Walsh was named the ‘MVP’ after an excellent performance which saw him hit 27 points.

CALASANCTIUS Oranmore made history as they recorded the league and cup double for the third successive year.
It was a scintillating display from the Galway girls with Carol McCarthy recording a game high of 24 points to claim the MVP award.
