LEADING sports organisations are engaged in emergency talks with Setanta Ireland after the company’s UK arm went into administration yesterday.

The GAA, FAI and Celtic Rugby, who oversee the Magners League, are amongst those tied into big money deals with the troubled broadcaster’s Dublin based Irish operation.

The firm, which has been hit by the loss of football television rights in England and Scotland, went off-air to viewers in Britain at 6pm yesterday.
