TYRUR NADINE, a shade unlucky when failing to land the odds in last week’s heats, can recoup losses in the third semi-final of the McCarthy Insurance Group Cork Oaks at Curraheen Park tonight.

Paul Hennessy’s Tyrur Ted Champion Bitch Stakes runner-up was squeezed for room at vital stages last week.

To her credit, she rallied in terrific style in the closing stages, only failing by a short head to reel in Wilcos Sonia in 28.61.

Tyrur Nadine is a progressive sort and, granted normal luck in running, can make amends.

Wilcos Sonia, who turned in a career best effort last week, is again in the line-up but this inside seed has been done no favours by a trap six draw.

A bigger danger may loom in the shape of rising star Summerfield Jean, who is situated on Wilcos Sonia’s immediate left.
