ULSTER needed to draw on all their guile and experience to wrest the senior men’s interprovincial title back from Leinster at Garryduff yesterday, as they claimed a thrilling 5-5 draw with hosts Munster that will live long in the memory.

Having stunned Leinster with a three-goal salvo inside seven minutes to secure a 3-1 win on Saturday, Ulster needed just a point from their final clash.

What transpired was a game that was the perfect advertisement for the competition. John Jermyn had seen his early drag-flick cancelled out by Chris Cargo, before two goals inside 30 seconds for Munster turned the tie on its head.
