Lola secures Champion Stakes place

MOONVEEN Lola made sure of her participation in the Grace Bruton Memorial All-Aged Bitch Stake at the National Coursing meeting in Clonmel next month when she collected the Macroom All-Aged Stake at Blarney yesterday.

In the decider Moonveen Lola changed sides leaving slips and there was little between Shining Henry, who held a narrow lead, and the winner until the closing stages where Moonveen Lola got her nose in front to get up by a narrow margin.

There were surprises in both trial stakes.
