Palmetto Dunes looks the percentage bet from favoured inside slot
The Tinys Bud Open decider is an ultra-competitive affair but it can pay to side with the in-form Palmetto Dunes.
The selection has been in sparkling form in recent weeks, recording back-to-back 29.84 and 29.60 wins.
Clearly running at the top of his form and favoured by an inside slot, Palmetto Dunes reads the percentage bet.
Callums Lad proved no match for Palmetto Dunes last week, finishing a three lengths runner-up.
John Kiely’s Laurels semi-finalist previously impressed when making all in 29.76 and merits respect from another trap four draw.
Carib King, a couple of places behind Callums Lad in the heats, bounced back in 29.62 last week, but has been done no favours by the draw, sandwiched as he is between Palmetto Dunes and Callums Lad.
Malden State, who rattled off a four-timer when making all in 28.50 last week, can land the opening semi-final of the Irish Life Stake.
Ten-time winner Queens Rock can bounce back to form from an inside slot in the Inter-track 550.
The Inter Track challenge centres on five Open races, all over different distances, featuring runners from Cork, Limerick and Tralee.
The event is sponsored by Greyhound and Pet World and patrons are being encouraged to wear their various county colours on the night.
As an incentive to do so, a donation will be made to the ISPCC for every spectator going through the turnstiles sporting his or her county colours.
