Irish teams for Brussels out tonight

THE Irish teams for the European cross-country championships in Brussels will be finalised tonight following the NCAA championships in Indiana where a number of Irish athletes will be in action.

The top three athletes in each category, senior, U23 and junior, in yesterday’s Woodies DIY national inter-club cross-country championships will gain automatic selection.

Martin Fagan, who achieved Ireland’s highest-ever placing in the men’s race last year, has been pre-selected on foot of his impressive road racing form.
