CURRAHEEN PARK hosts a gala-sponsored benefit meeting tonight, in aid of St Columba’s National School, Douglas.

The Douglas & District Lions Club Stakes Open 525 is the feature and Compass Don looks the part.

The selection is a grand servant to Midleton owner-trainer Stephen Wadsworth, boasting a record of 27 wins from 84 starts, including six of his last 10.

Laurels finalist Chicken Supper is a winner of 10 of his 23 outings but it’s difficult to envisage this noted railer getting a clear run from an outside berth tonight.
