It’s time to go, Joe, says legend Lewis

FORMER world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis is leading the calls for Joe Calzaghe to keep his promise to retire.

Calzaghe has already started to backtrack on his vow to make the Madison Square Garden clash his last, with fellow light-heavyweight champion Chad Dawson calling for the Welshman to set up another super-fight.

But Lewis, who quit as champion after defeating Vitali Klitschko in 2003 and resisted all temptation to return, said: “Joe has beaten everyone there is to beat and has nothing else to prove so I think he should retire.”
