No HSI bid for 2014 Games

HORSE Sport Ireland yesterday confirmed it will not be putting in a bid to stage the 2014 World Equestrian Games.

The decision was made at the meeting of the HSI board on Thursday.

HSI chairman Joe Walsh said it was an acknowledgement of the difficult financial climate and the need for HSI to concentrate its resources on developing the sport.
