Champagne shock at Youghal

THERE was a turn-up in the final of the Hondo Black Southern Oaks final at Youghal last night when Champagne Linda took the honours in 28.89.

Fast away with a split of 4.02, the winner led her kennel companion and favourite Oran Majestic to the first bend and then held off the challenge of Handy Princess by a length.
