The selection had attracted plenty of market support when a slowly away beaten favourite at the venue earlier this month. He was also beaten at Clonmel subsequently, but left that form well behind on Saturday.

The Tom O’Neill trained dog led Linares into the opening bend. The order remained the same to the third bend where Graysland Tiger kicked on and quickly stretched clear for a six length success in a personal best 28.40.

The Scottish owned dog has now won three of his six races and the forthcoming Cashmans Laurels is an obvious target.

Saskatoon , owned by Dan Cronin of Macroom, won his second stake this month when making all to beat the favourite Black Apollo (slowly away) in the A4 575 Stakes decider. The John A Linehan trained dog had a length to spare at the line in 31.82.

Muskerry Jo, owned by Tadgh O'keeffe (Cloghroe) took the A5 525 final in game style, sticking to her task well in the home straight when challenged by her kennel-mate Chies Needler in the closing stages. She hung on for a neck win in 29.24. The pair are trained by Paul Hoye.

* Cashmans make Oran Majestic the 4/5 favourite for the final of the Southern Oaks at Youghal on Friday. They then go 3 Shaneboy Sophia, 9/2 Champagne Linda, Handy Princess, 33 Loskeran Dee Jay, 50 Leamaneigh Beag.
