Three Rock and Annadale win cups

THREE ROCK ROVERS and Annadale also finished the year on a winning note yesterday by winning their respective annual St Stephen’s Day provincial cup finals.

In the Neville Cup Final at Serpentine Avenue, Pembroke Wanderers, fielding a much under-strength side, crashed to a 6-1 defeat by Three Rock.

The Ulster Kirk Cup decider produced the tightest finish between Lisnagarvey and Annadale, who laid the foundation for their victory by building a 3-0 lead before a two-goal comeback by Lisnagarvey. Neville Cup Final: Three Rock Rovers 6 (P McConnell 2, A McConnell, M Maguire, K Good, G Ringwood). Pembroke Wanderers: 1 (M Elliott); Kirk Cup Final Annadale 3 (I Hamilton, F Mills, C Jackson) Lisnagarvey 2 (C Gregg, C Black).
