Comet can leave ’em trailing

CONSOLATION Laurels winner Express Comet looks set for another big payday at Curraheen Park tonight.

Owen McKenna’s class-act can end the year on a high by landing the 8,000 to-the-winner Tinys Bud Open 550 Stakes. Express Comet has been largely impressive in his two outings in the stake to date.

Always in control when carding 29.90 in the opening round, he again showed his rivals the way round when following up in 29.97 last week.
