Locomotion steams home in International

LOCOMOTION, trained by Jackie Teal for Mrs. Sally Merison & Stephen Little, York, took the 41st running of the Willie Cummins Memorial Anglo Irish International at a windy Ballymacoda yesterday.

In the final he came up against another Yorkshire representative Causley and, after being a couple of lengths behind early on, he went by to take the first turn by two lengths, the pair sharing a good hunt to cover.

Teal also took the final of The Anglo Irish Purse when Arbroath Scruff, which she trains for Alex Smith, led Glencoo Issue a length for the turn in a course in which the lead changed hands on a few occasions.
