Glory for Chasing

CHASING Glory, jointly owned by Seamus Maher from Claremorris, Co. Mayo and Michael O’Donovan from Kilkee, Co. Clare, who won his trial stake here last season, but was surprisingly beaten by 50-1 outsider Be Over Quick in the first round of the Boylesports Derby, returned to Newcastlewest yesterday to take the Munster Cup.

Glory for Chasing

Chasing Glory, seeking his second Cup of the season, having come put on top at Listowel, faced Kyle Bond in the final. The latter was attempting to win his third Cup, having proved successful at the Regional and Carlow.

Kyle Bond, who ran up to Beautiful Times in the final of the event last year, was led from slips by Chasing Glory who just held on in a driving finish.
