IRISH AMATEUR boxing president Dominic O’Rourke believes the future stars of Irish boxing will be on display at the National Intermediate Championships which glove off at the National Stadium tonight.

One hundred and forty boxers have already entered the Championships which O’Rourke reckons will be one of the best ever at the South Circular Road venue.

“I believe that some of the boxers competing at the National Stadium over the next few weeks are the future stars of Irish amateur boxing.”
