Bought for big money after carding a sizzling 28.31 on his debut a fortnight ago, Stone Rig Rascal turned in another top drawer effort when making it two from two in last weekend’s semis.

The selection was baulked at the opening bend last time but underlined his superiority in the back straight to win going away in 28.95.
