Olive happy with progress

SINCE she finished 12th at the 20k walk world championships is Paris in 2003, life has changed dramatically for Olive Loughnane.

She did not get to the finish line in either the Olympic Games in Athens or the rain-sodden world’s in Helsinki two years ago.

Since then, she has given birth to a darling baby girl and yesterday was taking her own baby steps towards the Beijing Olympics when she finished 17th at the world championships in Osaka.
