Chamney’s battle with Campbell look the highlight

THE men’s 800m final could be the race of the weekend at the Woodies DIY national track and field championships at Morton Stadium.

Defending champion, Thomas Chamney, and last year’s runner-up, David Campbell, will battle it out for the last remaining seat on the flight to the world championships in Osaka in a month’s time.

“It is as simple as this: one of us will go to Osaka and the other will not,” Campbell said yesterday as he reflected on how he had lost out to Chamney in last year’s final.
