Muller names Ireland squad
Muller has recalled a number of experienced players to the squad who were rested in last weekend’s games against the Netherland Antilles.
Said Muller: “This will be our last preparation event before the Setanta Sports trophy in Dublin. The team is a more experienced than the one that played against the Netherlands Antilles, although we will be without the services of Linda Caulfield who is recovering from injury. Scotland will be a good test for us as they have a similar ranking to us and will be in a similar preparation phase.
Meanwhile Mick McKinnon announced his U18 Girls squad to compete in the EuroHockey Youth Nations Championship in Edinburgh in July.
McKinnon commented: “Selecting this squad has been a hard job due to the depth of talent at this level. It is a young group with the vast majority having at least one more year ahead at this level.”
