Quins hoping for Euro glory

CORK HARLEQUINS begin their fourth European adventure in Prague today when they represent Ireland in this year’s European Club Championships.

Quins hoping for Euro glory

The Cork side previously represented Ireland in this competition in Holland in 2002, Belgium in 2003and in Austria in 2005 and according to team manager Donal Kingston their previous experiences should stand them in good stead on this occasion.

“We have been seeded third in our pool behind SK Slavia Praha (Czech Republic) & Western Wildcats(Scotland) and it will require that we make a very strong start to the tournament if we are to qualify for the medal matches,” Kingston said last night from Prague.
