Proteas pound brave Irish

Jacques Kallis scored his 61st one-day international half-century to steer South Africa to a seven-wicket win.

Rain interruptions reduced the game to 35 overs apiece in between which South African bowlers, led by Shaun Pollock, Andrew Hall and CharlLangeveldt, limited Ireland to 152 for eight. South Africa then needed to score 160 to win from their 35 overs on the Duckworth-Lewis system.
