Mudlark Power eyes another club title

AFTER the glitter of the European indoor championships, the spotlight swings to Sligo Racecourse this weekend where teak-tough Clareman Seamus Power bids to reclaim the national inter-clubs cross-country title.

While Power is synonymous with the inter-counties championships — a title he has won nine times — he has also won this particular crown three times.

After an emotional return to the inter-counties championships at the end of November, he was back to his flying best when he won Rás na hÉireann last month — winning the title for the fourth time.
