Aerial View can take centre stage in Supersprint

THE speedsters take centre stage at Curraheen Park tonight when the €7000 to-the-winner Kudos Supersprint swings into action.

Backers can have a winning start by supporting Aerial View in the opening heat.

Mossie O’Connor’s ace is a winner of six of his eight career starts, including four from five at this venue.

Although yet to contest a sprint, Aerial View is blessed with electrifying early pace and a trap one draw coupled with a recent 17.79 solo suggests he will take plenty of beating.

O’Connor can also collect with 13-times winner Scarty Lad in heat three. Like his kennel-mate, Scarty Lad will be having his first race over the short hop but a 17.73 solo spin and a rails draw augur well for his chances.

Disco Stu, a 17.71 course and distance winner, is an obvious danger, but is drawn on the ‘wrong’ side of Scarty Lad.

The improving Four Fours, who recorded back-to-back 17.91 and 17.82 wins here in recent weeks, can make his track knowledge count against six-times winner Sarah Said So in heat two.

Denis Fitzgerald’s Stretch And Grow, impressive when carding 17.67 last weekend, is preferred to the progressive but poorly drawn Droopys Cupid in heat four.

Our Oasis and Cormacs Captain look a likely pair in heat five, with the former, who has the best of the draw, given preference.

Droopys Navajo, unbeaten in the stake to date, carding times of 30.11 and 30.02 in recent weeks, has sound claims from an inside draw in the Headbound A2 550 Stakes final.
