Third place for Sonia in Melbourne

SONIA O’SULLIVAN was back on track again yesterday when she finished third in the 5,000m at the Grand Prix Meeting in Melbourne.

The former world champion and 2000 Olympic silver medallist over the distance, crossed the line in 16 mins 04.39 secs.

The race was won by the American, Laura Fleischmann in 15:27.16 from Australian record holder, Benita Johnson, who was second in 15:36.49.
