Dasher can deliver in Guinness decider

DAIRES DASHER, following his wide margin win in the semi-finals, will be the centre of attention in the Guinness Trophy final at Curraheen Park tonight.

The Owen McKenna trained dog stepped up dramatically on his previous best for the distance when running away from his rivals in last week’s semi-finals, coming home no less than ten and a half lengths clear of Skywalker Duke in a very fast 28.25.

That run represented an improvement of .34 on his previous best and, if in the same mood tonight, he will clearly take some beating.
