Moore fighting fit for Aguirre clash

JAMES Moore returns to the ring tomorrow night ready to kickstart his bid for a light-middleweight title after an almost five-month lay-off.

Moore fighting fit for Aguirre clash

The 28-year-old former amateur world bronze medallist from Arklow, Wicklow, last fought on September 29 in New York, when he took his unbeaten pro career to nine wins with a second-round knockout of Willie Cruz at Madison Square Garden.

A family bereavement for the New York-based Irishman meant time away from the ring but now Moore is back after a rigorous training camp in Florida. He returns to New York tomorrow to fight American Edson Aguirre (12 wins, five defeats, one draw) as the main event on a card in Long Island.
