FLOYD LANDIS will definitely not defend his Tour de France crown this year after striking a bargain with the French anti-doping agency.

Landis won the 2006 event only to test positive for excessive levels of testosterone.

French doping officials were expected to announce their decision on what punishment, if any, they were going to hand Landis yesterday, but agreed to put the announcement back until after the US anti-doping rules in May.
