Make it in–form Mogeely in decider

THE in-form and well drawn Mogeely Honcho can land the A4 Stakes final at Curraheen Park tonight.

The selection is a consistent sort, having won two of his nine starts and finished in the frame in five others.

Mogeely Honcho turned in a career best performance when scoring unchallenged in 28.90 last week.

Clearly running at the top of his form and better drawn in trap two (he ran from four last week), Mogeely Honcho makes plenty of appeal.

Dromroe Daisy was the fastest of the heat winners, making all in 28.86. She is an improving sort, boasting a record of three wins from seven starts, but has been done no favours by a four draw. A bigger danger may loom in the shape of the unbeaten Bayridge Hero. This one finished with a flourish to make it two from two in 29.08 last week and is likely to make his presence felt.

Mattys Surprise, the fastest of the heat winners, can go in again in the Wilton A2 550 Backgraders 550 decider. Barry Daly’s 11-times winner made all in 30.25 last time and should take plenty of pegging back from another inside draw.

Paul Hennessy’s Late Prince, successful in two of his three outings, can continue on the upgrade in heat one of the Ardkill Jamie A3 Stakes.

Hennessy can also collect with Hello Keano in heat two. A wide margin 28.92 winner on his first start earlier this month, Hello Keano is again sited on the rails and can follow up.
