In-form and well drawn Riverside Vieri looks one to follow

CURRAHEEN PARK hosts a gala-sponsored benefit meeting tonight, in aid of Erin’s Own GAA Club.

Riverside Vieri can enhance his impressive strike-rate at the venue by taking the featured €1000 to-the-winner Grandon Car Sales A1 550.

The Graham Holland trained runner boasts 10 career wins and half of those have been recorded at this circuit.

The selection signalled his well being when sweeping through a recent A2 550 stake unbeaten, taking last week’s decider in 30.19.

Clearly in form and well drawn on the outside, Riverside Vieri can hit his rivals for six!

Chinook Storm, a 30.16 course and distance winner last month, merits respect but a bigger danger may loom in the shape of Dinky Lee.

Although out of luck of late, Dinky Lee has notched 10 of his 18 career wins here and is capable of a big run.

Balintore Ash, beaten at odds-on on his debut three weeks ago, can make amends in the third race.

The selection encountered traffic problems after a slow start but kept on well to finish a close fourth in 29.74.

With the experience under his belt, Balintore Ash can recoup losses.

Missile Rocket is another on a retrieving mission in the fifth.

This fellow was baulked from trap six draws when a beaten favourite in his last two starts and should benefit from a switch to the inside.

Best Be Going, a 28.89 winner here last month, can gain compensation for an unlucky run behind Riverside Vieri in last week’s decider in the concluding 550.

* There are seats available in the restaurant for tonight’s meeting.
