Hatton out to buck trend as he aims to shine in bright lights on Vegas debut

RICKY HATTON is intent on succeeding where numerous other British boxing stars have failed by turning his Las Vegas debut into a night to remember.

Hatton will return to the ring for the first time since his points win over Luis Collazo in May when he challenges Juan Urango for his old IBF light-welterweight title on January 20 at the Paris casino.

If successful, the plan is for Hatton to then square off in a summer super-fight against the former lightweight world champion Jose Luis Castillo, who will also appear on the Las Vegas card.
