Kerry pre-game speech (First draft)

WELL lads, here we all are again in an All-Ireland final. First of all, don’t be thinking that we’re here under false pretences just because we didn’t win the Munster final.

True, we got turned over and booed by our own supporters that day, but silver lining, eh? It was VERY sunny that day in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Now, I don’t want anyone to feel under undue pressure, but clearly this is our last time together as a team. Forget all that stuff about playing the game and not the occasion: this is the last match we’ll all be together at, so take a good look around and drink in the memories, the good times and the bad times we’ve all shared. I mean, the match will look after itself.
