CONVENTIONAL wisdom suggests that the All-Ireland hurling final win by Kilkenny was well deserved and I would whole-heartedly subscribe to that believe.

But I am also very slow to criticise any one involved with this great Cork team of ours. They certainly deserve all our thanks for a great four-year journey.

However, I feel we could have performed better on the line last Sunday week, and the persistence with which Cork stuck to their game plan made it a lot easier for Kilkenny to win.
