DROOPYS ROBINHO looked an exciting prospect when winning the first semi-final of the Tyrur Ted Stakes at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.

Having only his fifth race, the Fraser Black trained dog - who had clocked 28.27 in a solo trial a week previously - turned in a smooth performance, clocking a 3.33 sectional as he led passing the winning line.

Once in front he was always holding market rival Tyrur Brett and eventually had five lengths to spare over that one in a fast 29.18.

Movealong Alfie made nearly all to also clock a fast 28.29 in the second semi-final.
