Belindas Agent does the Business

BELINDAS AGENT landed a thrilling final of the Southern Business & Finance Stake at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.

The winner and Cusoon dominated the race. The pair shared the lead ahead of the favourite, Tyrur Brett, early on. The order remained the same down the back straight with Tyrur Brett making his move at the third bend,

However he couldn't find a way through and Belindas Agent, owned by the ten member Village Lads Syndicate from Ballinacurra, Co Cork, and trained by Denis Fitzgerald, edged a length ahead at this juncture.

That was to prove decisive as he galloped on resolutely up the straight to eventually have half a length to spare from an equally resolute Cusoon in 28.97 with the rest well beaten off.

Belindas Agent was winning his second final, having also won the other final he reached.
