Templemore AC revamp clears another hurdle

AUTUMN will see another major milestone in the history of Templemore Athletic Club with the upgrading of existing facilities.

The club was founded 30 years ago and in 1983 they opened a 400m cinder track. In 1990 the new clubhouse was opened and the value of those amenities is reflected in the fact that, to date, 19 of their athletes have represented Ireland internationally.

The upgrading programme incorporates the construction of an eight-lane 400m floodlight synthetic running track with field event facilities. This project commenced in August 2002.
