Star, Neptune clash in Cup rehearsal

NEPTUNE fans will be treated to a preview of the first round of the National Cup when Sx3 Star come to Neptune Stadium on Sunday for an ESB Super League tie, as the sides will meet for their cup clash at the same venue a week later.

Coach Martin Aherne was pleased with Neptune’s visit to the INEC in Killarney on Wednesday night, when they collected their first Super League points with a 14-point win over Gleneagle Lakers.

“It was a bit scrappy but it was good to get the win,” Aherne said.
