Munster continue boycott of men’s hockey interpros

THE executive of the Munster branch of the Irish Hockey Association has dealt another blow to the future of the men’s interprovincial championships by announcing it will not take part in the games planned for the weekend of November 22/23.

The branch had already informed the IHA it would not be taking part in the preliminary series of interpro games on October 18 and at its meeting on Monday night it decided to forego participation in the November games as well.

Munster president Pat Dawson said last night the branch basically found itself in the same situation it had been in all along: they had no coach and no prospect of getting one.
