ISC lauds swim decision

The Irish Sports Council has welcomed Swim Ireland’s announcement of the cessation of all legal proceedings concerning the appointment of its chief executive, including those involving KPMG, as well as an end to the controversies that have accompanied the proceedings.

In a statement last night, the Council and Swim Ireland welcome the recent appointment of Sarah Keane as Swim Ireland chief executive.

At its May 5 meeting, the Council authorised a special committee to review and decide on Swim Ireland’s application for funding for 2004.
