Darts talent Lewis looks forward to Grand Prix
The 19-year-old only started playing the game a year ago but he has already tasted success by winning the Chris de Roo Open in Holland. Lewis defeated Denis Ovens and Colin Lloyd on his way to the title and he faces another quality opponent in Welshman Richie Burnett at the Citywest Hotel this evening.
Second seed John Part, who lost to Phil Taylor in last year's final, faces a tough first-round clash with Ronnie Baxter tonight, while third seed Lloyd comes up against Ovens.
World Match Play runner-up Mark Dudbridge plays former world number one Peter Manley in another mouth-watering encounter tomorrow. And the Irish fans will be hoping veteran Jack McKenna can reproduce the form he showed two years ago when he takes on Dennis Priestley.
