Commercial club advance in Regatta

Ireland’s Commercial Rowing Club won through to the last eight of the Quadruple Sculls at Henley Regatta yesterday.

The title holders beat Nottingham County by over three lengths clocking a fast 7.07.

And in the first round of the Fawley Challenge Cup the Commercial quad beat Newark by three lengths in 7:35.

The quarter finals of the Thames Challenge Cup saw Lady Elizabeth BC eight beat Nottingham and Union by over 4 lengths in 6:58.

Skibereen’s Paul O’Sullivan won through to the last four of the Diamond Challenge Cup sculls beating RG Shirley (Lancaster) by one and a half lengths in 9.22s.
