FRANK WILLIAMS insists his team are still among the top dogs in Formula One, but concedes they have again been eclipsed by their rivals this season.

Williams has guided his team to nine constructors’ titles but watched as they drifted off the pace this season, with Nick Heidfeld’s third place in Malaysia their best result.

The Englishman is adamant Williams are still a major player in Formula One but blamed their inability to start the season well for their recent troubles.
