Dubliner Joyce close to England call-up

ONE of Ireland’s brightest cricket stars may be about to transfer his allegiances to England.

Middlesex’s Dublin-born Ed Joyce is winning massive reviews cross channel with the legendary Shane Warne amongst his biggest fans.

“Of the players I’ve come across this season, I’d say that Ed Joyce has most impressed me so far - he looked very calm at the crease and seemed to be in control of his game,” said Warne.
