Ireland U16 Boys lost 2-0 to Spain in their opening match in the European Hockey Championships at Millfield School, England.

The Irish play Belgium this morning and the Czech Republic tomorrow to complete their pool games.

After a day’s rest on Friday, they play classification games on Saturday and Sunday to determine their final position in this eight-team tournament.
