Belgium were worthy 4-2 hockey winners over Ireland despite having to play the entire game with only ten men. Four of their players could not make it due to a traffic jam in Belgium.

Belgium opened the scoring after ten minutes with a final reverse stick shot from their number six, Loic Vandeweghe.

Belgium increased their lead from a short corner after 20 minutes.
