Aussie promises knockout fight

AUSSIE loudmouth Quinten Hann last night warned man mountain Johnny Magee: “I may be skinny but I’m hard as nails.”

Snooker star Hann and his promoter, George Barmby, have been cranking up their war of words with Magee all week ahead of tonight’s charity boxing bout at the National Stadium in Dublin.

It hit overdrive last night with Hann vowing to lay Magee out with an explosive punch.

Magee accepted the challenge put down by snooker sensation Hann to fight the hardest man in gaelic football.

For two weeks Hann, ranked 12 in the world, has been holed up in Cavan, training twice a day at Jay’s Gym.

Hann said: “I get the impression that Johnny Magee has been doing little or no training for this fight and concentrating on football.

“I hope that’s not true because I’m going to do him.” Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are still available.
