Australia blitzed by England

Kevin Pietersen produced another dazzling one-day batting display to see England to a three-wicket NatWest Series win over Australia at Bristol.

Pietersen followed his three winter centuries in South Africa with 91 not out off 65 balls, but it was local boy Jon Lewis who hit the winning run as England made 253-7.

Pace bowler Steve Harmison had earlier taken 5-33 as Australia totalled 252-9 in their 50 overs.

Mike Hussey made 84, but Australia have now lost four successive matches, including Saturday’s humiliating defeat to Bangladesh.
